Value demonstration and health economic modelling for AI cardiac CT interpretation tool

Client need

Following the publication of clinical trial data, our client needed to understand the key health economic drivers in the disease area and the strength of their value proposition for the new technology. Furthermore, they required a comprehensive plan for evidence generation to support reimbursement, including health economic modelling.

Our response

We developed bespoke economic modelling that allowed the client to demonstrate system-wide benefit and enter commercial conversations across global markets with a strong negotiating position. The model was designed to be flexible enough to allow sensitivity analysis, which would explore the disease-specific drivers of cost-effectiveness and help us to understand the data required to demonstrate cost-effectiveness in HTA submissions. We also generated and tested a value proposition that put the product’s traditional and non-traditional benefits into one, coherent story.

Client value

The client used the economic model and value proposition to enter several key European and American markets. Our deliverables were used to stimulate conversations with payers that have resulted in market penetration above and beyond what the client initially forecasted.
