Developing a launch strategy and internal review process for a client working in oncology

Client need

Our client had two oncology products, both at the EMA MA stage, but needed a credible launch sequence and the introduction of a process to manage HTA submission review, internal input into the development of the HTA dossier, and pricing strategy.

Our response

We undertook research to identify HTA requirements, local processes, and data requirements for the disease area. We developed a strategy for launch which would enable the company to reach the biggest number of patients in the shortest time possible while maintaining pricing, and rolled out an HTA submission review and approval process that allowed cross-company input and agreement. Additionally, we recommended the establishment of a pricing committee.

The client was able to benefit from a standardised approach to pricing and approval and an approval process that allowed affiliate and global teams to align and jointly approve HTA submissions.
