HTA submission support in the UK and Ireland for a nephrology product

Our client wanted to do submissions for NICE and SMC, and needed a model adaptation and technical report for the NCPE. To do this, they required, advice and support with NICE scoping, development of HTA submissions for NICE and SMC alongside all relevant documentation, economic models for each HTA submissions, advice on pricing and treatment pathway, four SLRs, and post-submission support.

We conducted research to identify HTA requirements and local processes, followed by gap analysis and strategy workshops to provide advice and investigate data needs; a modified Delphi also took place for evidence generation purposes. Following this, we built and adapted a health economic model for SMC and NCPE, and developed a full set of NICE submission documents (followed by adaptation and refinement for the subsequent SMC submission). We also conducted four systematic literature reviews and attended committee meetings. Finally, we provided extensive post-submission support, including pre-meeting briefing and preparation and mock committee workshops.

Following our comprehensive HTA support, our client achieved successful recommendations at a price above that expected at project kick-off.
