Gaining early patient access and generative revenue through a holistic early access strategy

Client need

Our client was looking for opportunities to accelerate patient to a life-transforming neurology product, and potentially generate early revenue.

Our response

After agreeing on a set of guiding principles with the client, we identified 26 programmes across the globe that could be suitable for the client to attempt early access. We provided an overview of each programme, including strategic considerations that could inform ‘go/no-go’ decisions. We also provided the client with a list of timelines for the relevant programmes.

Client value

The client gained an in-depth understanding of early access opportunities and was provided with recommendations for each programme based on evidence generation, commercial, and market access strategies. The client gained early access and was able to treat patients 1.5 years prior to marketing authorisation while generating early revenues and clinical data.
