Senior Market Access Consultant

Job Purpose: To support our clients’ global market access needs across their products’ life cycle, including global launch preparation, insights/value generation and local pricing and reimbursement activities. You will be required to lead projects and develop client relationships, devising high-quality strategic intellectual market access recommendations, delivering excellent materials, reports and workshops.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and management of project plans with the Project Director
  • Ensure timely delivery of project deliverables
  • To be a key point of contact to clients
  • To secure and deliver new business, including international conference attendance, driving opportunities, developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Improving existing and identifying new client service offerings
  • Identify innovative solutions for our clients
  • Supporting the Initiate team in improving individual and team performance

About you

Experience and qualifications

  • Significant Market Access and/or HEOR experience is essential
  • Experience in rare disease reimbursement and management

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential. Demonstration of excellent internal and external communication

  • Develop and manage projects
  • Ensure the timely and on-budget delivery of project deliverables
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients

  • Engage in business development activities, including responding to client requests, developing proposals, attending international conferences, and developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Support and mentor less experienced consultants to enhance individual and team performance, including delivery of internal training
  • Manage development of thought leadership content, such as ISPOR posters, conference talks, and articles
  • Stay up to date on international pricing and reimbursement topics and trends
  • Support the leadership team in advancing the business

About you

Experience and qualifications

  • Significant experience in managing/executing multiple market access projects and clients simultaneously is essential. HEOR experience is a plus
  • Experience in global rare disease pricing and reimbursement
  • Experience in evidence generation (e.g., primary research), value demonstration, pricing research, value communication (e.g., HTA submissions) activities, as well as developing product launch strategies
  • Exceptional communicator with a passion for transforming complex scientific information into clear, accurate, and engaging content
  • European market access and reimbursement experience is essential. US, Canadian and Australasia experience is desirable
  • Experience in communicating with healthcare stakeholders, including HTA bodies
  • Ability to collaborate across functions
  • Experience in developing thought leadership
  • Understanding of the consulting business
  • Strong business development skills
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a remote team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English are essential. Other languages are a plus.

Health Economist

Job Purpose:
To be a key member of our health economics team, which involves working as a highly skilled health economist supporting clients and Initiate’s market access team. Following the appropriate training, the post holder must be able to perform economic analysis such as creating cost effectiveness and budget impact models. Activities will also include work related to epidemiological studies, disease management, unmet medical needs, burden of disease, cost of illness, relative efficacy and safety, as well as supporting strategic pricing and marketing, value proposition and communication.


Responsibilities

Collaborating with colleagues, health economists must be able to successfully deliver a range of projects including:

  • Developing cost effectiveness and budget impact models
  • Carrying out a range of data simulation methods
  • Understanding international health systems
  • Contributing to clinical summaries, dossiers and value messages to support reimbursement submissions
  • Supporting primary and secondary research

About you

  • Ideally a post graduate MSc or PhD in Health Economics, or any related domain with advanced modelling or statistical skills
  • Experience in health economics
  • Prior Market Access experience is desired, but not essential
  • Degree (or equivalent) in economics, statistics, maths, or sciences
  • Highly organised and customer service focus
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential
  • Fluency in English (written & spoken) is required
  • Strong level of proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential
